Tokyo, 28 May, 2011– Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ), a division of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCE) responsible for business operation in Japan, today announced that a “PlayStation®3 TALES OF XILLIA® X Edition” bundle pack will be available on September 8, 2011. The bundle pack will include the PlayStation®3 (PS3®) computer entertainment system with 160GB HDD and the TALES OF XILLIA® software title for PS3 and will be a limited time offer at a recommended retail price of 37,980 yen (including tax).

TALES OF XILLIA® is the latest installment of the blockbuster “TALES OF” franchise which has sold over more than 13 million units worldwide.  The software was created to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the series and will make its debut in stores on September 8, 2011.  First time ever for the series, the story features double main characters designed by two highly renowned character designers, Mutsumi Inomata and Kosuke Fujishima.  Any users, new to the series as well as those longtime fans, will without doubt enjoy the great, emotional story line as well as exciting battle system.

The PS3 system included in the bundle comes in Charcoal Black color with a special design depicting the world of TALES OF XILLIA® with Jude and Mira, the story’s main characters, printed in metallic type red and gold color. The PS3 logo engraved on the surface of the system is also in special metallic type red color to coordinate with the design. The metallic colors make an attractive contrast with PS3’s Charcoal black, offering premium feel to the overall look.

With the “PlayStation®3 TALES OF XILLIA® X Edition” bundle pack, SCEJ continues to expand the PS3 platform and creates new boundaries for computer entertainment.
