Tokyo, July 5, 2011 – Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ), a division of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., responsible for business operation in Japan, today announced that it will release Everybody’s Golf 5 PlayStation®3 the Best software title supporting PlayStation®Move motion controller and stereoscopic 3D*1*2 for the PlayStation®3 (PS3®) computer entertainment system on September 8, 2011, at a recommended retail price (RRP) of 2,980 yen (including tax). SCEJ will also introduce “PlayStation®Move Everybody’s Golf 5 Beginners Pack” comprising a PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation®Eye camera and Everybody’s Golf 5 PlayStation®3 the Best software title, on the same day at a RRP of 6,980 yen (including tax).

Everybody’s Golf 5 is the latest edition of the million seller hit Everybody’s Golf franchise which has continued to evolve alongside the PlayStation® platform since the first PlayStation® game console. Its ninth installment, Everybody’s Golf 5, has become one of the most popular golf games on the PS3 platform and has been highly received by all types of users from beginners to hard core fans. With new features like PlayStation Move motion controller and stereoscopic 3D support, users will be able to enjoy the intuitive and immersive game play using the PlayStation Move motion controller as if they are playing a real golf game, as well as the rich and dynamic stereoscopic 3D experience using the Wireless Controllers (DUALSHOCK®3/ SIXAXIS®).

SCEI will further continue to deliver strong value to the platform and will accelerate the growth of the platform and PlayStation Move by vigorously enhancing the entertainment experience only possible on the PS3 platform.

Users will need to update their PS3 system to the latest system software update to enjoy the feature. Users enjoying the PlayStation Move mode cannot enjoy the stereoscopic 3D mode or the online mode at the same time. To enjoy stereoscopic 3D mode, users will need to connect their PS3 system to the 3D TV with high-speed HDMI cable.
