The team at Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is thrilled today to announce the appointment of Liliana Laporte as VP EMEA Global Channels Sales. As part of this new role, Laporte will lead the PlayStation go-to-market strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with the goal of strengthening the global PlayStation business in this part of the world.

Laporte has been elevated to this role after previously serving as General Manager of Iberia and Mediterranean territories in December 2015 and later adding the Adriatic and Balkan territories in 2018. 

“EMEA’s greatest strength is its cultural diversity,” Laporte said. “This is an area of the world with consumers and fans from more than one hundred countries, with different languages and uniquely rich ways of life, who show their passion for Play and gaming through a variety of ways. With that, you can understand how important this territories’ role is in providing innovative, tailor-made, and culturally relevant content in this area of the world.” 

Laporte will be an integral part of Sony Group’s mission of reaching 1 billion connected entertainment users worldwide and continuing to position SIE and PlayStation as a destination for creativity, innovation, and entertainment. Her role is an essential part of SIE’s global unified team in delivering on existing goals while exploring new opportunities, both at a local and at a regional level.

Laporte has been a part of Sony Group since 2005 when she joined Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment Portugal as a Sales Manager. Since then she has held various leadership positions, all with escalating responsibilities and territorial reach. She has served in her current General Manager position since 2018.
