Rise Against Hunger

Since 2018 (ongoing)

Over 400 SIE volunteers (and recently their children on Take Our Children to Work Day) have assisted in completing this hands-on international hunger relief program and have become educated, engaged advocates for the world’s hungry.  To date, SIE has assembled and packaged just over 100,000 highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprised of rice, soy, vegetables, and 23 essential vitamins and minerals.

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. Since the inception of the meal packaging program in December 2005, these packaged meals have been used primarily to support school feeding programs in developing countries.

Habitat for Humanity Playhouse Builds

Since May 2017 (ongoing)

SIE colleagues work in teams of 10-12 to provide a child a playful retreat to call their own while supporting affordable housing in the Silicon Valley, San Diego, and Los Angeles areas.

During the playhouse build days, teams assemble and decorate children’s playhouses. After they are carefully painted (free hand) and constructed, playhouses are donated to local families, veteran and active duty military personnel families, and local non-profits.

Each playhouse serves a greater purpose – a place to call home for children in need.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Since 2016 (ongoing)

During the Fall season, employees at SIE participate in an employee engagement Game Day marathon to benefit Children’s Hospitals. Be it a board game, card game, online play or PlayStation® game it’s time to Play Games. Heal Kids.

SIE hosts children receiving treatment at local campuses so they too can be part of the action!
